Equality Impact Assessments in relation with the Courts and Tribunals in England
The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) conducts equality impact assessments to ensure that policies, processes and services do not discriminate against anyone and that, where possible, we promote equality of opportunity. They enable us to consider the likely impact of work on different groups of people based on a protected characteristic as defined in the Equality Act 2010.
