Definition of Admissibility of Evidence
In accordance with the work A Dictionary of Law, this is a description of Admissibility of Evidence : The principles determining whether or not particular items of evidence may be received by the court. The central principle of admissibility is *relevance. All irrelevant evidence is inadmissible, but evidence that is legally relevant may also be inadmissible if it falls within the scope of one of the *exclusionary rules of evidence.
