Definition of Assured Agricultural Occupancy

In accordance with the work A Dictionary of Law, this is a description of Assured Agricultural Occupancy : A form of *assured tenancy in which the tenant is an agricultural worker living in a *tied cottage. This kind of tenancy replaced protected occupancies (*protected occupancy) from 15 January 1989. In certain circumstances a local authority may be required to rehouse assured agricultural occupants.
