Definition of Bill of Indictment

In accordance with the work A Dictionary of Law, this is a description of Bill of Indictment : A formal written accusation charging someone with an *indictable offence. The usual method of preferring a bill of indictment (i.e. bringing it before the appropriate court) is by committal proceedings before a magistrates’ court (See committal for trial).
