Definition of Boundary Commissions

In accordance with the work A Dictionary of Law, this is a description of Boundary Commissions : Independent bodies established under the Parliamentary Constituencies Act 1986 to carry out periodic reviews of parliamentary constituencies for the purpose of recommending boundary changes to take account of shifts in population. There are separate commissions for England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
