Definition of Clean Hands
In accordance with the work A Dictionary of Law, this is a description of Clean Hands : A phrase from a *maxim of equity; he who comes to equity must come with clean hands, i.e. a person who makes a claim in equity must be free from any taint of fraud with respect to that claim. For example, a person seeking to enforce an agreement must not himself be in breach of it.
