In accordance with the work A Dictionary of Law, this is a description of Close of Pleadings : Formerly, a stage in the course of pleading in an action in the High Court that occurred 14 days after service of the reply, defence to counterclaim, or defence. This stage has been taken over by the functions of *case management and track *allocation.
