Definition of Concurrent Lease

In accordance with the work A Dictionary of Law, this is a description of Concurrent Lease : A lease granted by a landlord to run at the same time as another lease of the same premises. The effect is that the lessee of the concurrent lease acquires the rights and duties of the landlord in relation to the other lease.

    Could you advise please – Does the leasee of the under lease (in this case 125 years granted in 1998) have the right to apply for an extension of his lease from the leasee of the concurrant lease ( 999 years granted in 2012) or perhaps from the RMC which owns the freehold (bought in 2011)?
