Court of St James’s in United Kingdom
The official name of the royal court of Britain, because St James’s Palace was the main royal residence in London during the 18C, when -in accordance to Bamber Gascoigne´ Encyclopedia of Britain about “Court of St James’s”– the phrase was established. Diplomats from foreign countries are described as being accredited to the Court of St James’s, though new ambassadors present their credentials to the queen in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
