Budget (Finance Bill) Meaning, as used in the UK Parliament
The Budget is the statement (and supporting documents) delivered to the House of Commons each year by the Chancellor of the Exchequer which sets out the state of the nation’s finances and any planned changes to taxation and spending.
The proposals announced in the Budget then form the basis of the annual Finance Bill.
