Definition of Confusion of Goods

In accordance with the work A Dictionary of Law, this is a description of Confusion of Goods : The mixing of goods of two or more owners in such a way that their original shares can no longer be distinguished. The owners hold the goods in common, in proportion to their shares. One owner may be awarded possession of the mixture, if he has best right to it, subject to him compensating the other owner for his proportion.
