Delegated Legislation Committees (DLCs) Meaning, as used in the UK Parliament

Delegated Legislation Committees are Commons committees that are appointed to consider statutory instruments and other types of secondary legislation on behalf of the House. DLCs are appointed on an ad hoc basis by the Committee of Selection; like all General Committees, their membership reflects the party composition of the Commons as a whole.
