Summary of RUSH-BAGOT AGREEMENT: (1817)

In relation to the legal history of the United States and the United Kingdom: This agreement was between the United States and Great Britain concerning the Canadian border. The agreement dealt with the disarmament of forces on the boundary by limiting each nation to 4 ships of 100 tons each. This agreement was a sequel to the Treaty of Ghent.
