Summary of WEBSTER-ASHBURTON TREATY: (1842)
In relation to the legal history of the United States and the United Kingdom: The treaty between Great Britain and the United States settled the disputed boundary of the northeastern states. The treaty also settled the issue of the border between Canada and the United States in the Great Lakes region. It also mentioned the extradition of criminals and suppression of the slave trade.
