Satisfaction Piece

English Law: Satisfaction Piece in the Past

An instrument of writing in which it is declared that, satisfaction is acknowledged between the plaintiff and defendant. It is signed by the attorney (see more about this popular legal topic in the U.K. encyclopedia) and on its production and the warrant of attorney (see more about this popular legal topic in the U.K. encyclopedia) to the clerk of the judgments, satisfactio is entered on payment, of certain fees.
